About me
Hi, I’m Andy Dawson and I offer manual driving lesson in the Yately, Hampshire and surrounding areas.
I have lived in Yateley for 11 years with my wife, Anji and our two cats. We love living here as there is such a great community spirit and we enjoy walking and exploring Yateley Common. I am partial to a bacon sandwich in our local café and we enjoy and sampling the wares in the local pubs. I am also the proud father of my two adult sons, Harry and Ollie.
I previously worked as a Detective Sergeant in the Police for 33 years so have many years experience working with people and being patient. I was a highly trained Police driver and I am passionate about utilising these skills as a driving instructor, teaching people how to drive safely.
I’m currently enjoying training to become a fully approved Driving Instructor with LDC. I chose to work with LDC because everybody is different and the LD System allows for flexibility in lessons so that you learn to drive safely at a rate that suits you. I aim to make every lesson enjoyable and as productive as possible and the LD System helps me to do this more effectively.
Lessons are always conducted in a calm, friendly and relaxed manner as I firmly believe in making pupils feel at ease. I can offer lessons from one hour however most pupils prefer two hour lessons as this allows enough time to practice, discuss and practice again.
